November 19 & 20, 2024
November 19 & 20, 2024
Cybersecurity and sustainability have emerged as among the most pressing issues of our time. The relentless growth of global connectivity, massive data storage, and a proliferation of vulnerable devices, systems, and networks has left organizations exposed to an wide array of malicious actors. Recent incidents, like the exploding pagers in Lebanon, underscore that the threat extends beyond the organization itself - the supply chain presents a critical vulnerability. Governments must take action to shield citizens from hostile groups and nations. Supply chain cybersecurity has taken center stage and will be a key focus of today’s seminar.
At the same time, the planet is on track to experience its warmest year on record in 2024, crossing the crucial +1.5°C temperature threshold. If this trajectory continues, the 1.5-degree limit will be permanently exceeded around 2030 with devastating consequences, including deadly heat waves, droughts, floods, increasingly violent hurricanes and typhoons, famine, and ecological collapse. Achieving carbon neutrality, net zero emissions, and conformance tosustainability standards are now imperative, and must become immediate strategic objectives for organizations and governments. Notably, all of the top 100 Fortune companies have already embraced carbon neutrality or net zero targets.
Join us as we explore these vital themes of cybersecurity and sustainability in depth.
